Sustainable Development
The concept of Environmental Management and Sustainable Development are not unheard of in the GCC however, the implementation and continual development of such systems and technologies is the key to ensuring the protection of our environment and investments for future generations.
The United Nations Sustainable Development Department defines the concept of Sustainability as “Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”.
At Al-Marzouqi & BinSalem Fire Fighting Coatings the concept of Sustainability is embraced by the minimization of wastes, complying to local & international Environmental Standards and by providing our clients with engineered preferences to prevent harming the environment for future generations.
Waste minimization is not specifically required by most clients, but is a voluntary action on our part. Waste minimization can be a good business decision. We have found waste minimization to reduce operating costs, improve efficiency, reduce regulatory compliance concerns, and reduce future potential liabilities. Also, waste minimization can improve a company’s, and the oil and gas industry’s, public image.
On the 26th October 2008, Al Marzouqi & BinSalem Fire Fighting Coatings L.L.C. was awarded the first Arabia Corporate Social Responsibility Award for complying and upholding national and international environmental standards, embarking on sustainable concepts throughout our operations. The award was presented by Emirates Environmental Group and supported by the United Nations Global Compact.
